Byrnes 7 on 7

Congradulation to the Rebels on the championship, and on going undefeated.
Several return starts did not play, QB Brock Carrol and WR Ben Henson. Does anyone know why the were out.

Ben Henson had a non sports related surgery. Not sure about Brock.

Wouldn't you be bragging if Berkley won a 7v7 tourney too? Y'all have a lot of pressure and high expectations this year.
Never be diffrent unless diffrent is much, much better.

Byrnes will be starting a new QB this year, the returning QB is no longer with the team . The kid that has played this summer as starter will be the starter come fall unless something happens.

Of the 4 semi final teams, 3 belonged to region 3 (Hillcrest, Boiling Springs, and Byrnes). IMO the Byrnes QB threw the ball well and made several very good passes on what I saw on Saturday. Hillcrest was very athletic and proved (at least to me) that they will be able to complete in the region. Boiling Springs was missing a couple of potential starters on Saturday as well, so it will be interesting to see them for the next 7 on 7. Would it have made a difference against Byrnes in the semis? Probably not, but the real test comes on August when the pads go on. Good luck to all teams.
