Central (Pageland) @ Abbeville

Two much storied football programs will square off once again in the 3rd Round of the Class 2A Playoffs. Central (8-4) will travel to Hite Stadium to take on Abbeville (11-0). Unfortunately, I have seen the Eagles end several promising seasons for the Panthers. In fact, PC holds a 7-2 all-time record against A-Town. Hopefuuly, my Panthers will be up to the challenge come Friday night. Any comments, thoughts or predictions are welcomed.

The eagle have improved as the season went. Solid against the run but lack team sped on defense. Pulling for our county team but see Atown sending another region four team into basketball season

Abbeville will not overlook Pageland-Central....guaranteed. If there is any program we need a little payback against it would be them. We have lost four close playoff games to them in years past. A couple of others that were not close. We beat them in 2000 and beat the old Pageland High team in 1971 AAA state title game. It's crazy but we have only played once since 2000. In the 90s seemed like we played almost every year. Time to work on evening it up a little.

Very good, solid, impressive win for Atown. Defense was smothering, offense sharper than last week. I’m certain we had a better week of practice due to better weather and it showed.
