Here's a serious question

Here's a serious question

This preseason we gawked at what a ridiculous schedule that Abbeville had this season. It looked like the High School equivalent of the SEC West. So, with Abbeville now at 6-0 and outscoring opponents 50-7 on average... Is EVERYBODY down..or is Abbeville that good? The only game that has even been close was Southside Christian and they sat on the ball in the 4th qtr and still won by 2 scores, could have easily been 3... Surely everybody isn't that bad. Can a school with less than 500 students be one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the state regardless of classification? I wish more than anything that Abbeville and Hartsville could have happened.

IMO it is a combination of both. Having seen all Abbeville teams in many years, this one is very good, possibly one of the best. That has yet to be determined. That said, no question that Lincoln Co., Newberry, B-L are all down, no question. That Hartsville game would have been very interesting no doubt. If this team plays to its potential it will be difficult to beat. Southside Christian is a very good team, I fully expect to see them again. Of course Saluda is happy to have us coming to their house in a couple of weeks, they must worry about 96 first.
