Re: Berea new coach
But there are former head coaches with better records as a head coach on staff and you hire a coach with a losing record as a head coach in the same conference I don’t think you can blanket statement you can’t hire from within it staff to staff person to person

Assume you may be talking about Steve Wilson? That wasn't going to happen after the mess at Eastside last year. Prince wanted out at Southside. Know he had to be ticked he didn't get the AD job last spring. Great record at Southside? No. But Southside is probably the worst situation in regards to support for the program in the county except maybe Carolina. He will do as good as one can do under the current circumstances at Berea

Who knows? Probably one of those predictable Greenville County decisions here with an assistant who gets his turn, or somebody trying to start over. As one could imagine, not many sitting head coaches will be applying. Southside is an awful tough situation. Little support in any area from a fan base.

Actually wouldn't surprise me if they did hire him. Not a lot of competition for the job, and one figures he has tried to shake down everyone at Southside to get it, no matter if Prince was leaving or not. Haven't been there in years, but if they still have that big crown in the middle of the field they better get a bulldozer out there so he can see the other half of the field.
