Dillon Gets Transfer QB

Postby All We Do Is Win » Tue Aug 16, 2016 2:24 pm

Just read that JR York QB Brayden Hawkins has transferred to Dillon. He looks to be a great asset to this year and next years teams. I read that he is getting interest from big schools such as Georgia and so on. I have watched some of his highlights from York Spring Game and also 7on7...boy can he sling it. He looks like he's a pocket passer. But all in all great pick up for the cats.

York's Quarterback Brayden Hawkins and receiver Wally Wilmore have withdrawn from the school. Hawkins said in a Twitter message that he’s enrolling at Dillon High School. The Wildcats have won four straight state titles in the 2A classification, and the quarterback for all four - Avery McCall - has graduated. Hawkins said all of his dad’s general contracting business is in Florence right now. Many had high hopes for the York offense this season with Hawkins - a true pocket passer - at the helm.
Anyone have any info on this kid, was he a stand out player etc.
    I'm sure he'll be a welcomed addition.

Oh yes, he'll fit right in with Dillon's offensive scheme. He''ll need to create some chemistry with the team first. Zareon Hayes can return to the dominant DE/OLB position & come in on Wildcat formations.
