OT: Kyle Parker

Anyone else heard the rumor that Kyle Parker might be academically ineligible for the bowl game?... Not that it will really matter anyway after his sideline hissy fit.

I really really REALLY hope he is so that Dabo has no choice but to play Boyd. To be honest I don't see what the TEAM would gain by winning a bowl game with Parker at QB. It would be better to give Boyd all the bowl practices with the 1st team, start Boyd for the bowl game and let him play the ENTIRE bowl game to give him some kind of game time experience before next season. Boyd is all Clemson has and there is no reason what so ever to not start preparing for next year because this year is over whether or not Clemson wins or loses a bowl game.

The kid has 0 incentive with all that money waiting on him. Bench him and maybe he'll pitch another fit and QUIT!!!

Looking at this another way, WHY would Kyle Parker want to play in the bowl game? He's not had a good season so he's got to know that his NFL prospects have either gone or diminished drastically. He knows that he is not coming back next year and 2 months after the bowl game he is reporting to spring training for baseball. Why risk an injury on a meaningless game for him that might cause him problems in baseball? I told my wife right after Dabo pulled him saturday night that if I had to guess, it would be 50/50 that Parker would even show up for the bowl game, much less play in it.
Talent alone won't make you a success. Neither will being at the right place at the right time, unless you're ready. The most important question is "are you ready"?
