New coach at Indian Land eager to get parents on his side
Not a 5A story but interested to hear your thoughts on parental involvement in school sports; seems like it's at an all-time high, with some good and some negative results: http://www.heraldonline.com/sports/high ... 75817.html

did not realize Coach Mayer had been forced out of the job.. Mayer is a former Gaffney assistant on our team in 92' 93' and a couple years after.. honestly I never thought he would be the main guy anywhere so, it's good that he lasted 16 years but sounds like those people were fed up! Without the connections of Joe Montgomery, Steve Wilson, Mike Biddix, Jackie Queen, Greg Taylor and staff, I don't think Mayer would have been as successful
