No joke cannon. Why was he worried about someone looking over his shoulder if he was the reason Byrnes is the best program in this state? The truth is that he wasn’t the main reason, a big part, but not the main catalyst. Great article, but he and Spartanburg owe a lot to Bobby Bentley, the Vikings are using his blueprint.

Just another Byrnes wanna be team.
Often imitated, never duplicated.
The Vikings are NOT striving to be DEAD LAST IN THE REGION.
No, youre trying to be what we were just a few short years ago. As I said, “Often imitated, never duplicated!“

Byrnes will be back on top way before Spartan High gets remotely close to matching what the Rebels have done.
29-22 Series record, the supposedly great Byrnes hasn’t beaten SHS lately. Spartanburg owns Byrnes. You had a nice little run to bring you back to being competitive in the series, BUT you still haven’t caught SHS.

BTW

List the great football innovations. I don’t see the Bobby Bentley system on there anywhere.
You won't find it there. It's not about the X's and O's. Its about the Jimmy and Joes. Bobby has always said that and Miller would say the same thing.
At 3-7, you don't have Jimmy, Joe or Bobby!!!!!! :o :o
I know, but a lot of the issues we had within the program have been dealt with and the rest will be in time. Enjoy it boys, Byrnes is coming.

Yes they are both good coaches. Point taken.... It's just an article about spring football at SHS.. It doesn't have to be more than it is. It definitely doesn't have to be the intersection of Florence and Normandie

Spartanburg in a really, really down year was literally two points away from another State Title appearance. Byrnes is years behind Spartanburg and since our last State Title has only managed to put 7 points on the board against SHS. The last time Byrnes won a title your seniors were in middle school- our team captains have played in big time games, Byrnes lacks the advantage of experience and yes talent.

Enjoy it? Yes, we have - but all you're really telling us is what Byrnes could possibly be. We're telling you what the Vikings with State Champions on the roster have done. They've won in Columbia, and they've won at home- and at Nixon Field.

How many guys on the roster have started in a state title game?
