It's right next to Greenville, which is a nice growing city

Easy drive to Greenville or Clemson, lots of people work in Greenville and live in Easley. Nice growing town. The high school is a fairly new building, new stadium as well. Easley will pay more than Greenville county schools for a football coach. I just do not know how successful EHS can be in football though. Sort of reminds me of Boiling Springs.

One more thing, of the jobs open right now, I think it is the best job overall. I think the Greenwood job will come open very soon though, and that would be a toss-up on which is better. Greenwood can be more successful, but Easley might be a better place to live. Of course in Greenwood, you could always live on the lake.

Not so sure it pays more than GC. Pickens County wasn't paying quite as well a while back. Maybe things have changed. They certainly aren't anywhere near the pay level in Spartanburg. Decent community, but not sure if Easley is in a position to be a major player in 5 A football.

Easley will always be average at best. Pickens County simply doesn't care about football anymore. Only Daniel is successful now, and that is because they have a pocket of athletes and Clemson's coaches kids. Plus the pay is very low.

Greenwood, on the other hand, is one of the best jobs in the state.

Can't speak for football supplement but the PCSD pays it's other sports coaches significantly less than what the GCSD does. And that's pretty bad.

Folks aren't wasting much time this year. Saw that Midland Valley and Seneca came open.

Yea Seneca came open today the coach was there for 3 years and had a 17-14 or 14-17 record man what ever happened to the time where you gave a coach time to build a program

Not sure what happened there. Seemed the first two years were pretty solid, at least in region. This year they slipped a bit. But either the coach wanted to leave on his own, or the movers and shakers in Seneca want the program to have more of an impact in the playoffs. Been through quite a few changes in Seneca over the last few years.

That's a interesting question and makes for a good discussion. How long should a coach be given? Especially if the school has done well traditionally.
