Big win for FC's baseball team over REL, especially after getting smashed in the first game, 12-1.

TSA moved to 16-5-1 on the season with a pair of wins Tuesday and Wednesday. They defeated RWA 9-1 on Tuesday and followed that up with a 3-1 victory of Wilson Hall on Wednesday to sweep the season series with its cross-town rivals. TSA travels to Calhoun today and plays in the Gator Classic at Lakewood this weekend.

LA continues to face quality opponents in their non-conference schedule.WHS was really at the top of their game last night. Every time LA had a rally going the WHS pitcher induced a ground out, pop up, or a strike out to snuff out our chances to cut back on their lead. The Crusaders played well, WHS was just that much better last night. The Crusaders come away with a split in the series and will now get into the heart of their conference schedule as they face Newberry today and have a double header with Wardlaw Tuesday.
Looking ahead to the playoffs, our injured players are making progress towards returning by then, and Satterfield and Geddins saw limited action last night. This bodes well for LA, as we haven't been at full strength for quite some time.
With the loss the Crusaders fall to 7-7 on the year.

Didn't make it to the baseball game, but it was Senior Night for FC. I personally would like to thank SR. Michael Wilson for hanging around FC and playing baseball (along with football and basketball.) Wilson has had a great career for the Eagles, I don't have stats at hand, but his numbers are pretty impressive on the diamond. Wilson could've easily left FC a long time ago and played baseball across town at West Florence(AAAA) where a close relative of his is the head coach out there, and he definitely could've had a starting spot and be playing for a big time high school, but no, he choose to stay at FC, and that my friends takes courage. I wished Michael nothing but the best next year as he plays for Francis Marion.
