So, I am a little new at the playoff procedure for SCISA football - 8 man specifically. Is it the top 6 teams in each division and then the winners of each division play for the championship? OR only the top 4? Or am I completely off base?

Past several seasons, they take top 4 from each division, and first round is seeds 1v4, 2v3, 3v2, and 4v1 - then play it out from there. Division standing is based on performance against division opponents - cross division games have no bearing in the seeding

First Baptist plays at Laurence Manning this week. That game should tell us a good bit about the Swampcats, one way or the other.

So as of now, where do the teams stand in each division (8 man only)?

Div 1 - Andrew Jackson, Holly Hill, Beaufort, and St Johns????
Div 2 - Wardlaw, Clarendon Hall, Jefferson Davis, Laurens Academy????

Probably a sure thing that Clarendon Hall will pick up another win this weekend, and Winn should win over TriAcademy, but would LA still be above Winn with winning 2 games in region?

i don't know exact standing right now. I'm thinking when the dust settles:
Div 1 - Beaufort, AJA, St Johns, PHA
Div 2 - Wardlaw, CH, JDA, RWA

Right now, Laurens has better record than RWA, but RWA should beat them when they meet up - they scored 4 TD on them in 1 quarter of jamboree - never know though. Laurens has tough next 4 weeks: CH, RWA, JDA, and Wardlaw.
RWA has easy next 4 weeks: Tr-Academy, Laurens, Calhoun, WW King. Laurens should finish 4-6, RWA should finish 5-5. But you never know - thats why you play the games

But even if they finish as described above, both will go to the playoffs, right?

no - only top 4 would go. If RWA finish 5-5 and Laurens finish 4-6, RWA would be 4th and Laurens 5th

I see. LA has made some adjustments, so we will see if that works next week.
