Does anyone know the status of Palmetto Christian? Will they play 8-man?
Also, St. Andrews returned to the Georgia Independent Schools for 2018.

3A needs a few teams well north of I-20. All in the lower half of the state.

region is based on student population, not location. So, if you want some 3A school in the up-state, get some parents to send their kids to Spartanburg Christian, or Oakbrook Prep, or Shannon Christian, or Greenwood Christian (i picked those cause they are the biggest schools in upstate)

Actually just lamenting that I wish there were more teams in general. Ideally, that would include St. Joseph’s and Christ Church. That would be unlikely as it’s cheaper to play the local public schools than drive to Columbia and points west. Not sure what Bishop England’s reasoning is, maybe the same. Their addition would make a great eastern subdivision for 3A. Really wish 3A could get to 12 teams. 10 is as big as I’ve even seen it and that is where it will be next year.

The 2018 3A schedules appear to be ready. Several schools have posted theirs on Twitter (Ben Lippen, Cardinal Newman, Hammond and Heathwood Hall), and MaxPreps has schedules for First Baptist and Augusta Christian.
