This could be fun to watch. At the University of Delaware he was 506th out of 688 classmates. Biden ended up 76th out of 85 in his law school class; the law school dean described him as an academic "disappointment" but praised his "confidence," "general physical appearance" and "general speaking ability" in recommending him as a lawyer.

After reading some of his recent quotes, Joe might be fun to watch in the next few months.

Quotes:
“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” - Joe Biden

""I've had a great relationship [with East Indians in America]. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans - moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking." -- Joe Biden, speaking to Indian-Americans.

Exposes two things plainly:
1. The weaknesses to which others pointed are absolutely true. Otherwise why "shore up" those weak areas with a pick like Biden?
2. "Change?" Are you kidding me? Could he have picked somebody less associated with any kind of new politics or vision? He picked an old white liberal male windbag. Maybe Hillary should have called him "an African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

May I quote an AP writer: (attn liberal friends, NOT a Fox News guy, NOT Newsmax or WorldNetDaily)

DENVER --By RON FOURNIER - Associated Press Writer
The candidate of change went with the status quo.

In picking Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate, Barack Obama sought to shore up his weakness - inexperience in office and on foreign policy - rather than underscore his strength as a new-generation candidate defying political conventions.

He picked a 35-year veteran of the Senate - the ultimate insider - rather than a candidate from outside Washington

Really there is not much comparison. The Naval Academy is harder to get into than both Harvard or Yale and any kid that graduates from the Academy would usually finish in the upper 10% of most state schools. Unfortunately Joe Biden has proven many, many times that he is NOT the most smartest guy in Washington. McCain has proven beyond any doubt his honor and valor and his dedication to the United States, not just as a leader but as a serviceman. As a serviceman McCain has made sacrifices beyond what most Americans could even imagine. I think with the polls so unexpectedly close, Obama simply made a bad choice.

These liberal commies have been harping all this time about how McCain has been in Washington too long and we were gonna get more of the same... blah blah blah.

And good ol' pothead al Obama goes out and teams up with the same thing they have been complaining about. And what was the deal with them saying it was going to be something that hasn't been done before? I think the first person he wanted backed out on him. Biden was the only one willing to jump on the loser wagon. Maybe he's hitting from both sides of the plate as well.

Obama showed a total lack of courage and leadership by not selecting Hillary Clinton, the only person that could have helped him politically, and giving in to her queenship, Michelle! He completely opened up the playing field for McBush. Bad, bad, very bad move! Mad

I have to agree, he hurt himself with this pick..Heck, even the others from larger states would have helped...I said before if he didn't pick Hillary, her voters that were on the fence would bolt to vote for McCain or stay home...I think most die-hard Hillary supporters will vote for McCaina and hope to make another run in the next election..JMO
