Dad and I was sitting here thinking..

Say this happened...

If Obama or McCain were nominated and before the General Election...they passed away because of an illness or whatever...Who would then run and would the election stay on course?
Then would then run...The VP nominee?

Then say McCain or Obama is elected in November and then got sick before Jan...Would the VP still take over?

I think the second the VP would take over...

The conversation started because we were thinking about the President(William Henry Harrison) that got sick with pneumonia during the inagrual parade and died after a month in office. We couldn't think of his name and then it grew into all of this...ha!

Just wondering if anyone knows?

It would have to be the Vice President I believe

Very good question, being as how the Denver Police have arrested three very public spirited individuals carrying high powered rifles, scopes, and large amounts of ammunition. Gotta love this!

I don't know if it would be the vp if something God forbid something happened before the election in November or before this nomination process is over....

JReb..I can't believe that you think it would be cool for anyone to lose their life...I never thought Clinton was that great a person or President but I would have been sad for our country if something had happened to him..It is never a time to rejoice when someone loses his or her life...Come on' man..

I think he's referring to the revelry you display when speaking of Obama's possible assassination.

I rejoiced when it was Saddam, and he was not nearly the threat to this country that Obama is!
