beginning of 3rd qtr, ST leading 7-0, Central is facing 3rd and 11 at their 44 yard line. Central QB Stephen Smith throws a high pass up for grabs to his 6'4" TE (Justice Cunningham), Cunningham makes the catch, two Rebel defenders collide while trying to make the tackle and Cunningham jogs into the endzone from the 20 yard line for a Central td and the game changing momentum.

Central blocked a Ren Fell Field Goal with 10:31 remaining in the 4th and then goes down the field and hits a field goal to make the score 10-7. 1:30 remaining in the game, ST has the ball 1st and 10 at their own 2 yard line, QB Javon Brown takes the snap and then slips and falls in the endzone for a safety. 12-7 Central wins.

All the teams playing tonight, win or lose, have nothing to hang their heads about or be ashamed of because they worked hard and played their butts off to get this far. Congrats on a great season. Although only one team wins its last game, all can be proud of their efforts over past few months.

Me and HornetFoLife went up and it was a very good game. I really didn't have a dog in the fight but I was pulling for ST. I wish we had yall's crowd with our current band, and the student section from my senior year. ST's fans are so much more into it and excited about the game than most of our fans. I was really impressed. Enjoyed it a lot even though i was frozen solid most the night and couldn't feel my toes. Great seeing ya Tim.

Congratulations to Strom Thurmond on a well played game last night. I really thought that you were the best team in the state all year long. But I will have to say our defense really played with heart and desire last night, especially after that beautiful first drive where yall walked it down the field on us. It was a great ball game that could have went either way with a break or two. I really thought with our running back out we would not be able to move the ball at all against you. Truthfully we got the key breaks in the game and we made the big plays when we needed to. That's what happens when you have playoff games with equal teams. Truely a classy game between two powerhouses. Hopefully we will see you again at this time next year. Once again, Congratulations on a great season!

I felt bad for the ST players after the game because you could tell the game was a heartbreaker for them. Both teams are every big powerhouses. The game was a toss up really. ST has every right to be in the 4th round as we do. It came down to key mistakes. I thought ST had the game in the 1st half and knew my Eagles were going to have to step it up in the 2nd half. ST is a very good team and have nothing to hold their heads down about. They are a young team and will be a very dominate team next year. Congratulations on an excellent season.
