TRUE I'M A FOOTBALL FAN, BUT I LIKE TO HEAR THE BAND AT THE GAME ALSO. HOW MANY OUT OF TOWN GAMES DID THE TRIBE MAKE THIS YEAR. NOW YOU CAN NOT MAKE A HOME GAME AND IT'S A PLAYOFF. THE BARNWELL BAND WAS HERE. MR COBB AND MR ARD IF THE BAND CAN NOT SUPPORT US NOW WE DON'T NEED THEM WHEN WE GO TO STATE. IF THE FOOTBALL FANS DON'T SUPPORT THE TRIBE AT THE CONCESSIONS WHERE WOULD YOU GET YOUR MONEY. LOOKED LIKE SOME CHEERLEADERS WERE MISSING ALSO.

scalphunter i went to the barnwell/cheraw game and i notice your band wasnt there..that kinda surprised me ..you are correct the band needs to support the team....our band is always at our home games...due to the recent surge in fuel prices they didnt travel some of our away games...GO WOLVES!!!

I don't exactly remember what the radio announcer said, but there was a reason why the band and some of the cheerleaders were not there. I think he said the cheerleaders had a competition or something like that. I guess the Sat. game kinda threw everything off.

Last year we had a thread on here about the band not being at some games. That thread was posted on a good bit from more than just Cheraw Braves fans.The band does need to get with the program. Especially at home and in the playoffs.

I say lets bring fans from both teams and get them suited up and let them play a quarter of football for halftime. Fans vs Fans. lol

It semms as if bands now days are wanting to be more seperated from football and just be a band, they are heavilty involved in competitions and other outings, but the band should always be there for the TEAM, our band usually is there every game and in frll dress, but they are few times that they come casual and dont play, it sure helps the team stay pumped up when the band is playing throughout the game.... great thread

The band directors could have had other plans, alot of the members could have had other plans, some may have went to the cheerleading competition to support them. Why don't you ask the band director. I have enjoyed the band all year long and think they have done a good job. Never give up! |

2 guys in the band told us that it was optional and not mandatory that they play..he also said that there were several members that showed but most didnt..just think, this could've been our last home game..heck we could've used the few pieces we had!
