Well, for one I am just throwing facts at you and saying that through 12 weeks, statistically Abbeville has been better. Also, Abbeville has scored on special teams 7 times in the last 3.5 games. I am entitled to put facts on here, aren't I? Don't get so offended chief!!!!!! |

i'm not very good at predicting, so i won't.
what i do know is that abbeville played one of their worst games for a long time against woodruff. we were in a funk and still managed to pull out the win. it seems that both teams have gotten much better, but i think that abbeville went into the woodruff game weak against the pass. our seconadary has now seen that passing attack and will definitely not take it lightly, and will be practicing ALL week against it. and they are very capable of defending it. that being said, i think abbeville has the edge on this one. _________________________ proud member of the abbeville high school crunk squad.  |

So it couldn't have been that woodruff had anything to do with you guys playing what you call "the worst game they'be played in a long time"?
In all honesty it was two evenly matched teams...You scored one td on a fake punt and kept a drive going with another one that resulted in a touchdown...If we were able to defend those two and get two more possesions we would like to think we would have gotten at least 7 points....I know if's and butt's are candy and nuts but that's the way the game went... We ask that you please spend all week on defending the pass...Heck i would since we don't run it very good at all  . I'm not about to predict this one...It's just way to close to call. Both teams have obviously improved since the first game....I can tell you that since we lost to you guys we've wanted nothing more than another shot. In fact after that lose on the field the coach even said that that game didn't mean a hill of beans...He urged them to remember how it felt and told them if they took care of business they would get another shot at them and that game would be the one that meant something..... So the home field edge goes to you guys....Motivation and payback is on our side...We will all know about 9:30 on friday night which one made the most difference. |

wait, fake punts, fake field goals, on-side kicks, etc. are apart of the game. you can not say that is the only reason we won the football game. all we were doing was playing the game of football. its not like woodruff was completely oblivious to the fact that any team should have a fake punt in the arsenal. so that said, come to abbeville ready to see a fake punt. and when we beat yall for the 2nd time 'round. i do not wanna hear, oh its because of the fake.

I wish you guys were more like the BL fans....Go back and read my post again idiot....It was an observation based on what another one of your einsteins posted about you playing the worst game in years against us and that was the only reason we kept it "close"...
I know fake punts are a part of the game there Tommy Bowden (but thanks for the reminder). And congrats on the element of surprise. We'll played...... I said they were both evenly matched. I didn't say that's the only reason you won just that if we stop those two tries and get another couple of possesions we would HOPE we could have gotten at least 7 more points... Now if you want to continue and intelligent post please reply..If your going to dribble some more about we don't want any excuses this time save your breath... If all you want us to do is tell you how great you are and that all of 2a football should just bow out and pay for your trip to clemson then forget it.....If you win the true WHS fans will say congrats and best of luck...We would hope you would extend the same courtesy. |

Actually, the fake punt for a touchdown really WAS the reason why we lost. That's not an excuse, it's a reason. Take those seven points off the board and what is the score? Fact is, you ran it and we didn't defend it well. It cost us 7 points and we lost the game. The end. No one on here has taken anything away from Abbeville. In fact, we've been nothing but complimentary, so I'm not sure what the source of your angst is. |

woodruff has always had abbeville #,lets go back a few years,say in the year 1956 when woodruff won their first stata championsip.we had to beat abbeville in sudden death to play for the state.we had a great team and an all-american by rhe name of bob ivey,does anybody remember besides me. LETS DO IT AGAIN,WOLVERINES

it was almost like we didn't come out to play the game that night. that's what i meant by "worse games." football is very physical, but it is also a mental game. your mind affects the way you play the game. there are more factors than just the players on the other team. so that's why i said that, "einstein." and what makes you think we are not just as motivated as woodruff is? we haven't gotten past 3rd round in a few years, and we are very very hungry for the upper state championship. for the past two years we have gotten perfect regular season records and stopped short late in the playoffs. so i think abbeville has just as much motivation as woodruff. you can keep posting all you want, it won't mean anything but locker room material. i love when the football players at school talk about how all the people on this site post about "upsets over abbeville." it fires them up, and i know it does that for the coaches too. anyways, i know this will be a great game and both teams will have something to say about their season after the game friday, whether they win or lose. _________________________ proud member of the abbeville high school crunk squad. |

How is Abbeville too much for Woodruff? You must just be some banwagon that always roots for the undefeated team. Woodruff had more than 130 total yards of offense than Abbeville the first time we played. I dont see how that means they are too much for us. They obviously couldnt stop our offense. 2 fake punts is what killed us. It wont happen this time. Wolverines win by 14. |

If it had not been 2 fake punts....it would have been the ref's bad calls.....or some other lame excuse.....but the bottom line was Abbeville cut Woodruff's butt.....and they going to do it again Friday night.....the Wolverine's season ends this week...... |
