ACS scores on their opening drive by converting a 29-yard pass to the TE on 4th down. The Lions picked up several third and long attempts on the 65-yard possesion. More success throwing there than running which is a bit reversed from the typical ACS offense. 7-0 Lions 1st quarter.

Following an OP punt, the Lions put together another nice drive; this time with most of the damage coming on the ground. William Banks walks in from the 8 to put ACS up 14-0 with 2:21 left in the first quarter.

ACS utilizes multiple formations on a 72-yard drive to go up 21-0 with 8:16 left in the second quarter. Big third down conversion via the pass followed by Banks taking the snap at QB and running it in for the score from around 30 yards out. New Indian spread offense has been ineffective thus far and the defense continues to have trouble. Starting to rain now ....

ACS pulls out the ol' hook and ladder for a 25-yard TD, 28-7 just in front of the half.

OP's spread attack is starting to click a bit better as they manage to get into the endzone before the half on an 11-yard QB keeper from Plumb. A 63-yard bomb from Plumb to AJ Andrews set up the play. 28-14 Lions, 30 seconds left in the second quarter.

Halftime. ACS looks pretty solid, as expected, and Banks is a player which is no surprise. The Indians appear very similar to last year in that they should be able to score some points, but the question is can they stop anyone.

Indians march for a TD on the opening drive of the second half as Plumb hits Williamson on a little slant and Michael takes it in from 24-yards out. Fumbled snap results in a failed conversion attempt. 28-20 ACS, 3rd quarter.

Good point Steelerfreak; Coach Holmes and staff appear to have done a good job coaching the kids up. Nice defensive adjustments lead to a critical stop and the Indians take over after an ACS punt.
