So, in order, what is your prediction? As I reqad it, you have Byrnes 1, Kings 2, and Dillon C 3. Where will the rest in the region fall?
Then I want you to save the predictions and see how you have done in late February. I bet Kings wont be #3.

trinity boy's got a new coach and apparently he's already making improvements with some of the boys individually. i guess we'll see how he helps this team with their loss of two of their guards and a big man. they still have the 6'8" kid though and he really hit the boards hard.

Beaufort will be tough because of their size and Ernestine, but unless they have much improved guard play, they will still be well behind CCS and SCA and First Baptist. I can't see them being better with a new coach either. They are probably among the second tier of teams from 4-8

Who is the new coach at Trinity? And are there anymore coaching changes in AA that I need to know about?

The guard Chris Canavan really came on for them towards the latter part of the year. He was second team all-region in that combined AAA/AA region. I think the biggest factor is that they could end up with half as many losses because they don't have to play Hilton Head Prep and Hilton Head Christian at least 5 times a season.

I do agree though that they are in the second tier of teams right now.

Does it really matter? None of those teams have a legitimate shot at winning a championship. None of them will start the season in my top 5. Maybe 2 of them will be in my top 10.

As of now, no, they are not considered to be a contender. It is just another example of SJCA fans trying to make every friggin thread about their school which really has accomplished nothing.

Not considered by whom? Who died and made ksu the be all, end all authority. Who cares if SJCA is included in his top 5 or top 10 ?
No offense, but we could care less.

Frankly, many of the threads are dominated by his nonsense...trying to make himself out to be the inside guy with all the answers to SCISA athletics...and that truly has accomplished nothing.

They are not considered a contender by ME. And if you don't like my posts, don't read them. I try to give as accurate and unbiased basketball information as possible. I always ask for information from other people that have more than me.

But as far as seeing and researching SCISA basketball, I would love to have a chance to sit down and talk to someone that sees more of it or does more research on it than I do.

All I give is my opinions based on what I have seen, read and been told by those that have seen. Like I said, if you don't like it, don't read it.

But the fact is, right now SJCA is "considered" a bottom feeder in their new region and will have to prove me wrong to be anything but.

KSU...keep doing what you do. I for one enjoy reading your post and love your rankings. Its cool for to see different rankings and to have someone who can keep us posted on how most of the teams are doing.

I'm sure you're upset because some DAD from St Johns Christian doesnt like your opinions. I'm so sick of reading about St Johns. Seriously,...I dont know that much about them but what have they accomplished? Are they some powerhouse in 2A (in everything)or do their fans just get on here and make themselves sound good?

GO win some SJCA before you come on here boasting.

So let me get this straight...

KSU post his honest opinion about the state of basketball in this division, and somebody comes on here and bashes him for it...

Couple things here...

#1 That cat has been right more often than anybody else that usually posts on here over the past year or so, ESPECIALLY those representing huge biases toward their schools (no hint needed). He has provided pretty factual information for those in other parts of the state (myself included) and his posts have lacked most of the junk other posts have. If he says your probably not going to be good, then your probably not going to be good. If you are, come on this board and refute his opinion with facts - don't bash the guy.

#2 I keep coming back to the whole pot/kettle thing here...

#3 It doesn't matter if he is dead wrong all the time, ITS A MESSAGE BOARD. PEOPLE ARE FREE TO - GET THIS - LEAVE MESSAGES...

Not sure who the "we" is that you are referring to when you say "we could care less," but I don't think it includes as many people as you think it does...

Many times a the AA level, you can get an idea how the basketball team will do from football. The reason being, its usually the same athletes.

We will be solid this year in basketball. Most our guys return. We have a dedicated, hard working, and discipline team that got much experience last year.

But for the time being its football players for 'Cavalier Nation'.... Lets get em CAVS!

I disagree with this post. Look at the final four teams from last year and tell me how they did in football.

Charleston Collegiate barely fields a football team and they are going to be one of the two or three favorites to win the whole thing.

How about Cathedral? They are perenially one of the worst teams in AA football.

Bible Baptist will have a good basketball team this year and will be a contender for the football title.
