I am not altogether sure why Ayers didn't make the roster.

But I do know that the SCISA Athletic office has been incredibly frustrated over the last few years by kids being picked to play on all-star teams and then not showing up for one reason or another. Maybe Hammond had already informed SCISA that Ayers would not be able to attend for some reason so he didn't get chosen.

I'm sure that Ayers was asked if he was willing to participate. I know that Gibbs and Banks were asked by Coach Lane at ACS before the selections were announced. Not everyone can miss three days of school and give up their Thanksgiving holiday. At least the guys selected should all participate.

It is held the Friday following Thanksgiving in Charlotte and it matches NC private schools against SC private schools. The Shriners foot the bill for the entire week and it is a great experience for our players.

When will North-South be announced? Do underclassmen play in this game or is it all seniors?

North South has typically been for any player. Shrine Bowl is seniors only I believe.

I am a little confused how someone from Charleston Collegiate made the roster and Luke Tollison of Laurens, Josh Kellahan of Williamsburg, and Ellis Hammond of St. John's Christian did not.

Perhaps these young men will make the North-South Team rosters. They all three deserve a lot of recognition for their contributions this season.

I'm sure the players you mention are deserving BUT... you seem to be saying there can't possibly be a deserving player from a team that wasn't on top.

I don't know which player/position was taken from CCS but you can't possibly state that they are undeserving just because of who they play for. I recall they had one lineman who was a behemoth and a difference maker. Their kicker had as good a leg as I saw this year. Perhaps it was one of them.

After all, you can't put 30 QB's on the roster and field a team.

It is my undestanding that if you are selected to play in the Shrine Bowl, you can not be selected for the North/South game. This allows others to aquire the all-star accolade.

ConnerP says that teams that are on TOP are the ones who got players picked, when HHP has about 6 players on the roster and they lost to SAS who did not get a single member on the team

Reading comprehension must not be a strong suit. That's not what I said nor implied.
That's okay though as spelling is usually my weakness.
