This comment is interesting because I do not believe that they allow 8th graders to play Varsity Football. Someone clarify for me or call the SCISA office to report an 8th grader playing varsity football

8th graders can play Varsity football in SCISA. Happens all the time-- especially at the smaller schools.

Why don't you call the SCISA office and report an 8th grader playing varsity football 38 Special? I believe if you research first you will find that it is OK for 8th graders to play.

ACS surely has some great advantage using an 8th grader on varsity football. I am sure the ACS coaches would rather have the 8th grader play JV along with the 9th graders on varsity but the numbers at ACS are down. I am sure the economy has affected other SCISA schools as well. I wish ACS could have the number of kids Wilson Hall has on its junior high and JV teams. Hats off to Wilson Hall.

Personally i believe that CPA is the best team. They lost their top running back after the first scrimmage and ended up without their whole starting backfield after 3 games.I mean they still went 4-2(1-2 in the last 3 games). If you want to know how good CPA can be just ask Wilson Hall!!
CPA-NA 26-12 W CPA-PW 35-0 W CPA-DA 34-8 W CPA-HHP 20-34 L CPA-THA 20-41 L CPA-CA 14-8 W

Just trying to be of service 38 special. My point was your comment "someone clarify for me or call the SCISA office to report an 8th grader playing varsity football". If you are that concerned about ACS playing an 8th grader you need to look for clarification or call YOURSELF. If it is that important you should handle it and not be dependant upon others.

I was simply stating that if you can't give me info to allow 8th graders to play then someone should turn them or any school breaking the rules in. For example if your school was continuously coming in 2nd in a sport and you had knowledge of the champion breaking Rule A then would you not owe it to your kids who are doing things the right way to report it. For example the spring practice rule was broken consistently this past spring but nobody does anything about it. Why you ask? If they do something about that rule then they will have to look into recruiting and they don't want to do that because then you would irritate some of the SCISA royalty. Not sure why they have rules because SCISA does not have enough manpower to enforce and the schools surely won't self report. With that said I have seen Wilson Hall's JV and they are certainly one of the best JV teams I have seen if not the best

Quote: CPA beat WHS to death in a scrimmage & in the jamboree. If CPA doesn't have injuries the were the best.
Wilson Hall did indeed play CPA in a scrimmage and a multi-team jamboree, and they do have a great team. However The Truth 2 in both games WH had more touchdowns than CPA. I don't see how that is considererd getting beaten to death.

Yes, WH did indeed have more touchdowns than CPA because they got the big play. If it was a real game they would have never got those big plays because CPA ran the ball down their throat!

In the first scrimmage, WH scored early and Cpa looked a lil shell shocked. Cpa was sucessful driving the football the entire scrimmage. In the Jamboree, Cpa drove it right down the field and scored and Wilson Hall stuttered a bit but also scored on Cpa. Fact is they were the two best teams in the jamboree Cpa hosted hands down. I think both coaches would agree they would love to play each other and have respect for the others' teams. Fact is Cpa had 17 players and finished w 13. 4-2. WH still undefeated.

Mr. ACS Lion, I believe we all have a problem with yall' in SCISA because yall are from GEORGIA, NOT SOUTH CAROLINA. I don't see any team joining a South Dakota league and wooping up on them. I'm not saying ACS dominates in anything at all, but the fact is that they don't belong.

Who is it to decide that they don't belong? They are not the only school from Georgia in SCISA as St. Andrew's and Bible Baptist are both located in metro Savannah. Most of us believe that any school that actually brings better competition thus recognition to SCISA is good for SCISA and belongs.

Barons JV whips LMA The Wilson Hall junior varsity football team capped off a perfect 2008 campaign with a 53-0 dismantling of Laurence Manning Academy on Thursday. The Barons finish the season 8-0. Gibson Klapthor scored on a 32-yard run and completed a 47-yard TD pass to Matthew McMillan. McMillan also scored on a interception and punt return. Daniel Drakeford had a 16-yard TD run and a 91-yard fumble return. Klapthor was 3-for-4 on PATs and Robert Rohner was 2-for-4. LinkWere any JV teams undefeated besides WHS and HHP?
