Thanks Yellodraggin for the reply, I just was wondering how you saw the score being that high; sounds like it will be a good game.

I too wish both teams well and look forward to seeing a great competive game.

I heard Richard Winn lost their running back to an ankle sprain...? If so, how will that change things? I think the player is #7

This could be slow the running game, but, from what I hear SJCA need to be concerned with the passing game instead.

I'm, looking forward to seeing this game.

RWA 58
SJCA 28

SJCA had few late scores, but other than that was not close. Hope the three or four SJCA players who were hurt are ok. A couple were transported to the ER.

Round two; RWA gets another shot at Dillion Christian. They will have to buckle up tight for that one.

58 - 26 Enough said: Time for Basketball in Monks Corner.

No defense equals big loss every time.

As I said, lace up the sneakers, time for basketball.

Basketball:
St. John's is at Cathedral Academy November 20th, at Faith Christian November 21st, and
at Carolina Academy November 25th.

Then, Happy Thanksgiving !! Gobble, gobble!!

Props to Richard Winn on a great victory !!
The Eagles led 30-6 at halftime !!

SJCA Assignment for 2009: Taking nothing away from our present coaching staff; however, please add coaches that specialize in coaching
defense. It needs assistance.

Also, it would be nice to have an EMS ambulance at each game. Our gratitude and thanks to Rae Beth Fultz and Lauren Austin for their help with
getting ambulances to the field quickly last night. Much appreciated, ladies !! Our prayers are with the four Cavaliers who end up going to the ER, special prayers for Senior Kevin Bellamy.

Other than that, great first year back in 11-man football St. John's. We are proud of the team, the coaches, the fans, and also we are thankful to our administration for its work on the football program and bringing back 11-man football to Moncks Corner.

Look forward to next season and look forward to
basketball season. We are playing in a very competitive region this basketball season. Lots of fun, lots of challenges await.

Lord Berkely,
How are the players that were went to the ER? Hope things are ok.

It was a hard hiting game and pretty clean with the exception of a few personal fouls because of tempers.

Let me also add that according to some of the RWA players #5 Hammond had the best attitude and competitive spirit along with sportsmanship of the entire team. They said he never gave up, which is the reason he ran a kickoff back later in the 4th quarter. He is an outstand ath. and played his heart out. Thumbs up to him. Just wanted to share this with you.

They also said they were a few others however, that did not share his attitude and were kind of dirty (I will not share their #'s) I know RWA have a few with a short fuse and do pretty good keeping it under control until the talk gets them worked up.

Next week RWA will have to step it up and play mistake free at Dillion Ch. Who knows? Thats why you play, right?

P.S. The BQ sandwich was great and the chicken bog hit the spot as well. Thanks Best of luck in Basketball.

Lord Berkeley,
I was told by another LBA alum last night that there is again interest in naming our gymnasium
the Lord Berkeley Academy Memorial Gymnasium.
Are you guys planning on working on this project again? Would be a great way to show unity between Lord Berkeley - SJCA Alumni.

Mud Bug,

Thanks for the complement about #5 Ellis Hammond. He has a heart of gold and that "Cavalier" spirit he possesses has no comparison. He will be greatly missed on the football field next season.

Our concession stand is great !! Thanks to Mrs. Jackie for all you do.

I understand that Wesley Mears has a broken ankle; Kevin Bellamy was released and doing better following a neck injury; Chase Wright was released on crutches; William Johnson has a shoulder injury.

I honestly did not see anything dirty from either team. Just a little temper at points --
but a clean game.

Very much enjoyed playing you guys. Very nice people. Great turn out for Richard Winn. Lots
of fan support. Our attendance was poor compared to normal.

Perhaps we could schedule you guys in basketball or baseball next year. Long trip, but a Saturday game would be fun.

Best of Luck with Dillon Christian. Would love to see a Richard Winn vs. Laurens State Final.

I agree, all of us who have been on the football field know that there will be a few clashes with tempters. I was not trying to say that it was a dirty game. Just sharing what I heard from some of the kids. I made this point in another post. Thanks for the hospitality.

Blessings and Prayers
