I like your spirit and prediction. It may need to be a low scoring game for RW to come out with the win. I think the key for RW will be not to give up the big play and play eery down all out. In the first game RW made a few mistakes early in which they had the opportunity to go up two scores in the first quarter and then gave up two big plays with less than a min. in the half and DC had a 7-0 going in at the half.

IMHO, this is the Championship game. I think the winner has the mo going the to final (which they will have to play hard as well) There is no doubt that DC is the team to beat and to take the prize you have got to beat them this week or the next.

I hope RWA can wear the glass slipper next week.

My prediction:
RWA 22
DC 21

If the RWA D can continue to stand strong, the O has a chance to protect the ball and move it enough to score three with two 2 point conv.

Does everyone think DCS peaked too early or are injured at some positions? I know it is always harder to beat a team a second time. The first meeting was 22-8, with RW's only score coming late. It was also RW's homecoming and I think DCS was looking ahead to Lauren's. Two hour bus trip and pouring rain also makes it hard to stay focused. Shoe is on the other foot this time as RW will travel to DCS. I usually don't try to guess final scores but I'll go out on a limb and predict DCS 44 RW 14.

What do you mean this is the championship game? The best team in A is in Savannah. Everybody from the upperstate keeps talking about how "there is no doubt" that Dillon is the team to beat.

I will tell you that there is a TON of doubt that Dillon is the team to beat when you talk to some of the people that have seen both teams.

I don't know what people have seen in Bible Baptist that makes them think that this team isn't for real. Maybe it is the loss to St. Andrew's (yes, the same St. Andrew's that is in the AA semifinals) or it could be the loss to Memorial Day which should win the GISA state championship and would have a chance to win the SCISA AA state championship.

After watching SJCA play both Bible Baptist and Richard Winn -- and watching tapes of Dillon Christian -- I think Bible Baptist would struggle with either Richard Winn or Dillon Christian.

IMHO, Bible Baptist could not have beaten the Richard Winn team we lost to last night. BB did not hit nearly as hard as RWA.

Dillon Christian would have to have an off night for Bible Baptist to win. Richard Winn may have a shot in a re-match with DCS -- but even that is a stretch.

Sounds like some really good football games no matter who wins in the coming two weeks.

I agree, Cav Fan --

The best Class A football team is not from Savannah. They are really good, but I feel
Richard Winn or Dillon Christian have proven to be the best overall teams down the stretch.

Frankly, BB will really need to work hard to beat Wesley's Laurens "Crusaders" in the sem-final game. Laurens, a former 8-man team in the Class A Semi-finals, is impressive.
Wesley will have his "Crusaders" ready.

Best of Luck to all.

I have seen both DCS and BB. I think that DCS is 3 or 4 TD's better. No knock to BB, I just think that DCS is that good.

I must say that I have not seen BB, but I know how good DC is from top to bottom. It is just my opinion that they are the team to beat. And if RWA can pull an upset, the game against LA is not a given (HaHa), just kidding.

I did not mean for it to sound like that the winner of RWA / DC is the champ. game, just that I think that right now they are the two best teams left and would have the momentum going into the final.

You are right. I do not know how BB plays; I have not seen them. In my opinion it is hard to think they are stronger than DC.

With all of that said; I would like to see a RWA and LA rematch. But DC and BB will have something to say about that.

Ask DC (coaches / players) who got their attention in the regular season.

By the way, I have seen DC play many games over the last five or so years and ready did not like their attitude or sportsmanship, but my experience this year was different. They played hard and with great sportsmanship. Don't know what has changed, but it was good. Thumbs up to them.

ksufreak,
I don't like to get into too much smack talking, but I must say that BB is the best A team in the lower state, they are the only one left standing in Reg. 2 There are three up state teams standing.

So, we will see and congratulate the winner.

Mud, this is the first group of kids that started playing together as 5th and 6th graders and their attitudes and sportsmanship have matured along with the program. This is the first team that has had Seniors that were playing football in the 6th grade. Getting beat around last year also showed the importance of good attitude and discipline. Great Senior leadership and the support and direction of the new head master has played a roll in their show of their better attitudes and sportsmanship. Just found out today that #11, Nute Jackson fractured his leg in the Byrne's game and will be out rest of season. So, thoughts and prayers go out to him for a hurried and full recovery and look forward to seeing him back out on the field next year.

That is good to hear my2cent about the maturity of the young men. And like I said earlier I saw a great difference in how they approached the game this year.

That is not to say that DC is the only team that have had bad moments. Every team, coach, fan, and player has to be discipled with their attitude and we all fall short sometime. I don't think you have, but please don't take what I have said to mean that DC is the only school that needed to improve in this area. We all do. Just wanted to say as a fan it was a good competitive football experence.

When we go to a football game we can't expect it to be choir rehearsal. It's football!

Sorry to hear about #11 hope and prayers that he recovers and gets ready for next year.

I definately agree with Mud Bug on this. DCS was a class act from top to bottom when we saw them this year.

RWA can beat DC - BUT - they will have to play at their highest level this week. They have proven that they can play with DC. Now they have to do it for 4 quarters. Should be a good game. Both teams HIT HARD. Hope our Eagles are up for the challenge!

DC is a great team with great athletes. RW is almost tha same. In a way they the same, they play hard nose football, running tha ball 20 to 30 times a game, and playin in your face physical defense. I think this could be the best game of the season.
