Does anybody have any info on this situation? I have seen every girl's final for the last 7 years and don't remember it happening. I know that in HH Prep's second state championship against Cardinal Newman during this run, they were losing going into the fourth quarter and went white hot from behind the three point line in the last four minutes to pull out the win. Catherine Callaway hit a three from about 25 feet at the top of the key to give Prep the lead for good with about 1:30 left.

The girls game in question was in AA and was Calhoun winning on a three point basket by sr. Meredith Inabinent (sp) as time ran out. Calhoun was coached by Chad Cary. I think this was about 10 or 11 years ago maybe even longer

it wasn't in Sumter, but one of the craziest highschool games I have seen personally happened a few years ago.
There was quite a disparity in talent between the two teams, but the combination of homecourt, crowd, officals etc made it a very even game.
The game ended up going three overtimes. The home team made a shot at the buzzer to send it to the first overtime.
The visiting team scored to send it to a second overtime.
The visiting team's best player got fouled as the clock sounded to end the second overtime. (You should have heard the home crowd going nuts) The player missed both freethrows to send it to a third overtime.
The home team ran away with the third overtime when the visiting teams best player fouled out 15 seconds into the period.
It is the only game I have ever seen where everyone of the visiting teams top 7 players all fouled out of the game. I don't remember the exact numbers, but more than 60 fouls were called in the game with 2/3's being on the visitors.
You should have seen the visiting team coach jumping up and down screaming "WE CAN'T WIN...THERE IS NO WAY WE CAN WIN...YOU WILL NEVER LET US WIN"
