The game I was referring to was the AA State Semi-final game from 2007. It was SCA's first year in AA and were up against a very athletic Dillon Christian team. Dillon was up 12 with 4 minutes to play - SCA hit two free throws with 2 or 3 seconds left to win by two (and went on to beat Holly Hill in the finals the next day). If those two teams played 10 times, SCA probably wins one of them. That just happened to be the one.
"Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains - think about that..."
I forget the year, but PG's win over CN for their first of 3 straight state titles in AAA a few years ago went 3 OTs. John Kresse (a soph at the time) scored 15 of his 17 in the overtimes and set the tone for the next two years.
That was 2003. First championship in PG history couldn't have come more stressfully! Most amazing game I've every seen/been a part of. HAS to be top 5.

I enjoy how you don't have the intelligence to derive your own thoughts so you mock mine. Grow up you SJCA teen. Mama's calling, it's time for Little League Football. To bad St. Andrews is going to destroy you and like it this Friday. I send my regards to the emergency room.

If it plays out like it should, this years AAA final would feature at least 5 division 1 basketball players, or more depending on what happens with Bogdan and Haynes. I dont think many games in this state has ever seen that.
As much as they annoy me, the SJCA-Trinty final 4 game from a few years ago was a great double OT game. Trinity made a big comeback in regulation and won it in OT2.

That same year in the other half of the bracket, Dillon Christian ahd a #1 ranking and played a #2 Carolina. Carolina won and then beqat Trinity the next day.

Let's not forget last year's championship game. It was an absolute war that should have had a chance to go to overtime except for some really poor clock management.
I remember several years ago there was a AAA girl's championship game that was decided by a half-court or so three pointer at the buzzer. If memory serves, the player who hit the shot was a senior and it was her first three-pointer of the season. Can anyone confirm or correct?
Whoop, While I appreciate the nice words toward SCA If DCA had been coached by anyone other than the roach from "men in black" they would have defeated every team in AA by 20+! They had HORSES that could compete with anyone in SCISA! having said that SCA had their facing the Giants moment and came back from the dead with 4 minutes left to win by two. I do appreciate the props to SCA though
I don't disagree with it being a top 5 game, I disagree with the statement if they played 10 times, SCA would only win once. But maybe. If the Marcus Sampson/Price era had had some coaching, it could've been an amazing time for DCS. However, this didn't happen.
