The man works 1-1.5 hours a day and makes over 50gs a year, not a bad gig. The only thing the school wants him to do is work 6 hrs a day. It's not a hard or even physical job. He only cares about football and not the other sports. Let him go if he can't put 6 hrs a day in.

He puts in well over 1or 2 hours a day. His practices are sometime s 4 or 5 hrs . He also gets their between 6 and 7 am and does his work before the rest of the school get there.

He w ant have to worry about practicing 4 or 5 hours anymore. New rules prohibit that if I'm not mistaken.

Love him or hate him, Stanley does not deserve to be treated like this. The athletic program has brought a lot to D.A. over the years.

Heard this tonight. Don't know if it is true or not. Stanley has offers from Colleton, Holly Hill, and Bowman. Just heresay. I heard at the meeting last night he told them he had offers from other schools and the board told him to take the one he wanted the most.

I would have a hard time believing any of those schools would be able to offer Gruber what he had at DA. Also ther eis the old saying of too many roosters in the hen house. HHA,CPA BOTH have strongwilled head men that run their programs their way. I don't imagine Gruber is up to taking orders at this point. Soundss like the DA board has said this is the only way we can do it. Maybe retiring to the farm is the only other option. It happens to all at some points. If the financial concerns are true, tough to blame the school. Gotta get the most bang for the buck at a small school.

I agree Stanley is used to be head coach and I don't know if he could take an assistant position. I heard that Colleton's coach is going to OP. Don't know the truth of this. Stanley and Shelly at HH are very good friends. I also heard a rumor that "things" are being worked out. The drama of a small town.

My bet is that after some tough posturing on both sides there will be some behind the scens deal put together that will appease both sides. Then both sides will declare publicly that they got what they wanted. Brock Miller is not going to OP. They already have a coach.

I think Brock Miller would leave Colleton Prep for the right opportunity (there are certainly AAA schools that would pay him more than 50k). I don't think he would see Dorchester Academy as the right opportunity though. At best, it would be a lateral move. If Wilson Hall had offered him this year or Pinewood last year, I think he may have considered a move.
