Old School -You got the CCS/CA game correct. CCS beat Cathedral 33-12. Our Generals have hope for next year as 19 of the boys who dressed are supposed to be back next year, and with our freshman QB throwing for 2 TDs we are ever optimistic.
Best of luck to all of our fellow region teams in the playoffs - we hope that y'all bring home the title!

PG only lost to Hammond by 8 last time. Dont you think 20 is a bit too much? Well maybe not considering they beat AC by 42..

We can speculate all we want (I have with past predictions), but OldSchool Pinewood has a crystal ball! I've said "He was right" more than once.

Billyjoe,

I was at the 1st PG/HAM game. HAM was up like 20-0 in the first and pulled their starters after being up 29-7 in the 4th.

As I have posted before, I consider +1 to equal a toss-up. OP and Ben Lippen match up well against each other. And although I usually resolve toss-ups in favor of the home team, I think it is very difficult to beat a quality opponent two weeks in a row. OP-Ben Lippen (along with Pinewood-HHES) should be a great game.

wilson hall upsets ac. why?? because seeding means nothing. any of tose 8 teams has a chance at the title. Wilson Hall lost 1 game in the regular season and threw away 5 . Wilson Hall has a great team, no stars, but 11 guys that can get the job done

With all due respect to the Barons and their faithful, 11 guys who can get the job done don't end the season 5-6 and 3rd in the region. I saw them play and they simply were not that good. Looked like the Barons of old at times, but end results were not the same. Too much change in Sumter the last few years. I do look for them to beat ACS. Possibly even make it to state. That bracket is weak. Champ comes from the other easily if they don't beat each other up.

Replay is for people who can't see it fast enough!

Striped Shirt, you are right on! The Barons could beat AC but the other side of the bracket is much stronger. I think the Barons had a good defense but their offense looked rough when I saw them. Anyone from WH,AC,OP, BL could make it to state.....if they can beat the winner of Hammond/Pinewood is another story.

To comment on WH, I saw them play earlier and they didn't really impress me either, but they won. WH is a great program that knows how to win and that is a very important thing to have in the playoffs.

While I agree that Hammond and PP are the 1 hottest teams right now, I'm not discrediting the bottom side of the bracket by any means... OP beat PP earlier this year and BL beat Hammond. Who's to say that it couldn't happen again? In my opinion the 2 weakest teams right now are on that side too.. PG squeeked in the playoffs and HH is STRUGGLING right now. I still think that its anyone's game. Its gonna be real exciting.
