Williamsburg is down, way down. Not only did they graduate 9 seniors, but after watching them for the first time Friday, they graduated hope and pride as well. I've never been so embarassed and ashamed in my life.

some of these picks confuse me.
First, why would anybody believe that one of the 3 or 4 worst teams in AA (Thomas Heyward) could stay within 30 points of the best team in AAA (Hammond). Second, why would anybody believe that a very bad Dorchester that is a bottom half of region 1 team would even be able to stay in the game with Colleton Prep who is a top half of region 2 team, much less win. Dorchester got shutout by an average HHP defense at home, got hammered by Thomas Sumter and beat two very poor teams in First Baptist and Holly Hill. Nothing they have done would make me think they could play with one of the better AA teams. I am going to leave my Hilton Head Christian at Hilton Head Prep analysis until Friday. Don't want anything I say to become bulletin board material for either school. |

CPA and Dorchester are close rivals - that should shorten the spread somewhat.

Thanks Schutt12. Not only am I bad at predicting, but I am bad at cut/paste too!
I had a hard time deciding the Pinewood and the Florence Christian games so I can't wait to see how those turn out. Can't wait to see everyone else's predictions. Mine is loosely based on my amateur opinion. |

I don't see how you think Heathwood will lose to Ben Lippen...Is That a Joke. Heathwood is too strong on offense for the falcons to win. Too many threats, and depth. I don't see it happening. AND OP losing to Pinewood. YOu must be on drugs. Op has a strong QB and lots of talented recievers. the defense may be a little weak but Pinewood has NOTHING. The "transfers" from summerville are a bunch of scrubs. |

Hey Psb42, there is still time to get your predictions on here. Those are my 'predictions' based on OPINION only. (Some I even question myself now). Even though I am fairly new to SCISA, my years of experience of following football assures me that ANY team can lose ANY given game. (Injuries, overconfidence, officiating, player performance, weather and etc) That is what makes it all worthwhile..... |

ksufreak... You are noticeably quiet this weekend. You said you were going to give us your analysis of the HH Prep/HHCA game on Friday. I would like to hear it.

I was at the game on Friday and then I had to go back and watch it on tv on Friday night just to reaffirm what I saw. (the game was broadcast on local channel here). First, I was once again shocked at how small Christian Academy was as a team. That said, they are extremely well coached. I don't know if there is a coach in SCISA that better prepares a team than Tommy Lewis. The best example of this was the interception for a td that gave Christian Academy a 7-0 lead late in the second quarter. The DE read the swing pass perfectly and stepped right in front for the pick 6. The game was 10-0 at halftime and you just had the feeling that one play could change the momentum for either team. Prep came out and got a drive going in the third quarter that stalled out at the HHCA 25 when Prep couldn't convert a 4th down. I thought this was a big momentum change because a field goal would have made it a one score game. It would have been a longish fieldgoal, but it was straight down wind which was blowing at about 20 mph. Neither teams' offenses are extremely good and both defenses were in control for most of the game. Christian Academy got the first offensive touchdown in the fourth quarter when HHP appeared to think HHCA would be running the ball to chew up the clock. HHP had 9 players in the box and HHCA qb Luke Sirgo hit TE Joey Davis on a crossing route that went for a 40 yard td. HHP went down and scored to make it 17-7 but couldn't convert the onside kick and HHCA scored on a short field to ice the game. HHCA was the better team on Friday. They made plays when they needed to and HHP did not. That is the difference in the two teams. The game was actually very even. HHCA had 265 yards of offense and HHP had 260 yards of offense. Both defenses played pretty well. Christian rushed for 95 yards on 30 carries and HHP rushed for 57 yards on 18 carries. The difference in the game was the interception return for the touchdown. It totally changed the tenor of the game. Congratulations to HHCA. This game will propel them to the playoffs. HHP is going to have to regroup and do something pretty spectacular just to make the playoffs. I can see them losing the next two games against Colleton Prep at home and at Northwood and having to battle St. Andrew's for that last playoff spot from the region. |
