Lord Bigot, Do you boys coach basketball as well or is football the only sport we cannot afford to pay a coaching staff? Perhaps they are saving up for better facilities that you refer to by not paying for football coaches.
As was suggested earlier, it would be best for the coaches to stay off of the message board and worry about learning to coach defense this week.
Let me start by stating that I AM NOT A COACH. I am a dedicated fan and proud relative. This will be my last response/entry as I feel I have accomplished what I set out to do. That is, for others to find out how it feels to be written about, dissected, and criticized for the world to see, especially when no one knows the full story. And especially when you think you are just trying to help out some kids. Whether you are a teacher, student, coach, or parent. People's feelings are being hurt over all of this. Livelihoods are being effected, vocations are being questioned, and friendships are being lost. Why, because rumors are like a virus and people begin not trusting one another. So let's stop all of the negative banter and concentrate on what's really important here and that is how can all of us ensure that the students and athletes have all of the necessary tools to become even greater than they already are?

A positive atmosphere is a good thing for which to strive. It should always be encouraged by both coaches and fans. All parties are hurt when negatives are tolerated or condoned.
