Maybe we should look at this from a football standpoint. Which of the private school champions could have competed with any of the public school? Let me answer, absolutely none. Don't give me any of that business about black and white!! Go click and you will see, the other half belongs to me...... LinkDiamonds are forever and so are the HORSEMEN!!!!

OK Butcher. Po int taken. I have l ived in mult iple areas of S.C. (upstate, m idlands, peedee)....qu ite frankly, in every area, the publ ic schools have had better teachers, better fac il it ies, & better opportun it ies than the pr ivate schools in the same areas. The only reasons I can th ink of for a person to want to send h is/her ch ildren to the pr ivate schools I've seen is b/c they're e ither rac ist or el it ist! Oh yeah....publ ic school football is WAY better too!!!! My opinion is better than yours….because its MY opinion!

The facilities would almost certainly better because they are mostly tax paid while in SCISA the schools fund them alone. Although some independent schools have fine facilities but are paid for with high tuitions. As far as teachers go, i think they are closer than you think. At the bigger schools almost all are mastered or higher. Don't judge all of them by the areas that ypu have been. These are some fine people that just make a decision for what they think is better for there kids. I would guess elitism and racism are there but not nearly the way you think. Probably no worse than some of the wealthy state schools. As far as the competition level of football, the high school league has many more players which is naturally going to lead to more depthful talent. Scisa occasionally comes around with a special player such as Mughelli or Adams or Gado but generally once these guys get donw with high school they are off to college to start their lives. Don't judge these folks until you've walked in their shoes. I'VE been in both leagues and they are more similar than you know. I also know that most SCISA people hold the high school league in very high regard. Maybe the respect should be returned a bit.
Respect has to be earned.... I've seen one too many sc isa games to respect sc isa football! Sorry. My opinion is better than yours….because its MY opinion!

If you asked them they would probably say they enjoy games as much as anyone. Should West Point discontinue football because they can't play with Miami? What about the Tarheels they weren't competitive this year and are probably 3 years away so should they just quit. Everyone cannot play at the highest levels which i'm sure you are aware. Should all the non-Gaffneys quit because they are not up to beating the Indians? Or should everyone just go watch them play because everyone else is not worthy of respect.
You're compar ing apples to oranges, Abdullah! Those colleges you ment ioned are allowed to recru it....hey, k inda l ike sc isa! To earn MY respect.... I honestly don't know. I've never l iked blue-bloods! My opinion is better than yours….because its MY opinion!
