Again, just my opinion.
1. Pee Dee Academy
2. Holly Hill Academy
3. Colleton Prep.
4. Bible Baptist
5. Calhoun Academy
6. Thomas Sumter
7. First Baptist
8. Richard Winn
9. Dorchester Academy
10. St. John's Christian

Region II Class AA is filled with excellent girls teams this year. All six teams are top 10 teams. Pee Dee, Bible Baptist, First Baptist, and Richard Winn should all be good as well. I feel that this year's state championship team will come from Region II.

How many girls does Pee Dee have returning off of their state championship team? I know they are the defending champions I would have called their championship a mild upset. I didn't think they were the best team, but they played the best in the tournament.

Also, how do Trinity's returnee's look? How many are there?

my first top 10 will be a little different than this one. I think Bible Baptist and Thomas Sumter are way to low to start.

Here is some info on the Bible Baptist girls:

Ariel Martinez was first team all region in region 4 last year as a freshman. That is the same region that had Hilton Head Prep, Hilton Head Christian, Thomas Hewyard, St. Andrew's and Beaufort Academy.

Erika Sharp was second team all region in that same region as an 8th grader. Both of those girls are back and will be added to by the transfer from Jenkins Highschool. I am trying to find her name but can't yet.

Here is the all-region team from Region 4 for last season. Those 2 players were on a list with some great girl's players.

Girls

Player of the Year
Alexandra Fuller - SR, Hilton Head Prep

First Team
Claudiane Boulay - SR, Hilton Head Christian
Katie Butler - SR, Hilton Head Prep
Ariel Martinez - FR, Bible Baptist
Whitney Sewell - SR, Thomas Heyward
Rose Wilkowski - SR, St. Andrew's

Second Team
Emily Bowen - JR, Hilton Head Christian
Catherine Calloway - SR, Hilton Head Prep
Caitlyn Cooler - 8th, Beaufort Academy
Elyssa Dailey - SR, Beaufort Academy
Erika Sharp, 8th - Bible Baptist

Gonna have to add WW King. Upper state #1 seed a year ago lost very little to graduation. Always good and they always play hard.

I dont think WW King should have been a #1 seed...goes to show playing an easy schedule and getting alot of wins looks better to scisa than a tough schedule and less wins.

I think Dillon Christian girls will be better this year. then again, its hard to be worse than last year. Our region this year is loaded with good teams...

Pee Dee returns ALL their starters and won STATE last year. Carolina Academy lost 2 starters but will be very strong this year. I heard Trinity lost 7 of their 10 players from last years team so I would think this is a rebuilding year for them. Byrnes girls will be very good. They lost to Trinity by less than 10 in the playoffs and have most the team back. Thetop 4 or 5 could win it.

I definitely dont see anyone in the region going undefeated...chances are they all could have 2-3 losses in the region.

I admit I am biased, but TSA should be ranked a lot higher in this category. They have been a constant contender in the AAA region that they usually play in. The 6'3" girl is not very polished, but she dominated some games at the AAA level and a look for her to do the same this year in AA. I don't know much about girl's basketball but I have a strong feeling that TSA will take their region.

Didn't TSA lose about 5-6 seniors this past year? From what I heard, their JV girls program was not very strong. I realize they have a giant in the middle but can that girl get up and down the court? What do they do when they play a team that likes to run? I'm assuming with that size they try to slow it down.
