I think is smarter to count SJCA out than it is to count them in. Sorry if that hurts anyone's feelings, I'm not your mom and I don't care. The truth hurts.

It's not smart to think SJCA will have a snow balls chance in hell of having a winning record, much less being in every game. 11 man is a whole new world kid, you can think 8 man is competitive all you want, but you're about to be in for a world of disappointment, if going to SJCA isn't a heartbreaker enough. Just start practicing basketball kid, it's the only thing you got. And I can GUARANTEE you that SJCA will be in every game this year as well, at least until to opening kick-off that is.[/QUOTE Aw, come on Stallion, everyone knows SCJA won't be very good this year; even sJCA fans know it. But one thing they have there are cockeyed optomists who think this will be the year they break out of their slump! Every school has their die hard fans, St. John's just seam to be less in touch with reality than most.

Someone from Kingstree talking smack about SJCA? I couldnt imagine a more miserable place to be than Kingstree. You're are mostly right though, SJCA will not be very good unless they have some new kds move in, which is possible with the growth in Berkeely county. I dont think it's necessarily the difference in talent levels from 8man to 1a, moreso the depth. 8 man teams wil basically have to fill 6 positions with guys who were not good enough to start last year. That's not counting replacing the seniors. So bad 8man teams from last year seem like they will be in for a rough year moving up to football.

Yes, someone from Williamsburg who never lost a game to SJCA in baseball his entire career. Actaully got to play 11 man football through lower, middle, and high school. Not so much on basketball, but heck, that's the only thing ya'll would schedule us in. SJCA always down to competition. With a few exceptions. I'd rather be a Stallion than a Cavalier from dreamworld anyday. Kingstree loses compared to Monks Corner, but Williamsburg Academy destroys SJCA. And that was my point. We had a better school in every way imaginable except for boy's basketball and that's because no one around here cares about it, which is a shame but the truth. I think we'll be better this year though. Got some kid from Sumter High who average 16 points last year. I believe he's a sophomore.

Not from SJCA, just figured I'd take up for them until Cavfan comes on and starts predicting a state championship. I really know nothing about the schools academically, just messing with you because I'm not a big fan of Kingstree

Haha, I'm not either. I do have a massive amount of hate for Clarendon Hall & SJCA.

Laurens Academy lost a player to a broken collar bone yesterday. He was running a pass route, dove for the ball, and landed wrong. What makes this especially bad is he missed last year when he broke the same shoulder early on in preseason.

Both Williamsburg Academy and St. John's Christian are great schools academically. Both are SCISA Advanced Accredited schools.
St. John's plays at Williamsburg in varsity football on October 3rd.
As I have just returned from my honeymoon, I have not fully gotten into the football spirit yet. Very fortunate to have married my college sweetheart many years later. The Lord has truly blessed me!!
I have ties to Williamsburg in that my wife taught her first year teaching at WA back in the early '90's. Would often tease her that the WA "Stallions" were green with envy -- just could never figure out the green school color, that's all.
She is a graduate of John C. Calhoun (now Colleton Prep). So, we also have ties there.
But, fortunately, she is very excited to finally be a "Cavalier."
My thanks to the students and parents at St. John's who held a reception in our honor prior to the wedding. They even had a mock wedding with football players serving as groomsmen and varsity cheerleaders as bridesmaids. It was a tribute that I will never forget.
Love, friendship, and loyalty go a long way in this world -- and those are three things we have at St. John's. Yes, we may live in our "dream world", but we would not have it any other way.
Several graduates thanked several of us men who religiously follow "Cavalier" athletics recently for the positive impact we have had on their lives. As I attended varsity practice Tuesday evening, three (twenty-thirty something year olds) who I taught many years ago at Lord Berkeley walked up and said as Sparky and I yelled at the team -- it is good to be home again...no greater feeling in the world...
No, we may not even make the playoffs, but it is great the Lord has given me the opportunity to see us return to 11-man football and its great to see the season come... We are excited and will be die-hard to the end.
St. John's Christian will scrimmage Patrick Henry Tuesday evening at 6pm in Moncks Corner. We will travel to Carolina Academy in Lake City next Friday for a Jamboree and play Carolina Academy, The King's, and Florence Christian for about a quarter each. We then open the season with three home games against Laurens, Cathedral, and Andrew Jackson.
As always, "Let's GO CAVS !!"

Nice to have you back on the board, and congratulations on your marrige! She must have been using light weight tackle totake this long to land you. My posts on the 'cockeyed opomists" at SJCA was in jest, every school has a few fans like that. Good luck this season.

^^ That's how my high school career went and I scored all 3 touchdowns against ya'll last year, so shut you're mouth kid. Counting Clarendon Hall in would be like counting in the Kansas City Royals to win the Central this year. You can always count out people and teams that suck. I think it's stupid to even think Clarendon Hall could compete for a State Championship. They can't even compete for one in 8 man. I think Williamsburg will be around .500 this year. And they lost everyone, let's see how your Saints do since this is the golden year. My golden year we went semi's in football and state in baseball. I doubt you make the playoffs in either.

PCA had a scrimmage vs Cathedral Tues, and a tri scrimmage vs. Cathedral and Chas Collegiate Fri, "won" all 3 handily, passed at will and ran well , Defense gave up few yards and no scores Only a scrimmage, but still....

Spies on the ground in Charleston say that PCA looks good. A quick running back, a good receiver back from last year, but a smallish line. Coach Daniel has made great improvements. CCS has not been able to bring in a good "recruitin" class yet... unless they have them in hiding. They only had 12 or 13 dressed out for Friday. Cathedral is an unknown. They seem to have some big lineman and a power run game, but the coach called very few plays. Either he's gone vanilla for the scrimmages or he's an idiot. They seem to have two decent backs.
