But Florida is in the SEC so your point is invalid...besides Florida is not the only good team in the SEC, you also have LSU, Auburn, Tenn. just to name a few.

in football its the SEC hands down in basketball it goes to the ACC and in baseball its really a toss up right now cause both leagues have a shot at sending several teams to the post season

For overall athletic excellence it's no doubt the ACC...look at the overall numbers of teams from each conference that make the NCAA's..Look at the number of champions coming from each conference...Take away football and basketball this year from the SEC and it probably is third behind the PAC-10 or the ACC....
Now if your just talking football i think the SEC is better top to bottom without question. Basketball on the other hand if you take Florida out of the equation the last two years then the SEC as a whole is awful....Baseball i think you could argue either way....The top teams in both leagues are really good and the bottom of the leagues is nothing to right home about.......
It's a fun debate and really any given year it could be one or the other....I will say i prefer the ACC though...

The SEC isnt terrible in basketball back in the day who can forget Kentucky? Latley Alabama and Tennessee have been strong also... none the less i do agree that the ACC is stronger in basketball but latley it has to go SEC
