GO COCKS!! Beat the Heels (but not in basketball) Its tough being a USC fan in football and baseball and a UNC fan in hoops..........good luck to both teams, wish they were playing someone else besides each other.

South Carolina is one of only two teams in the nation to reach the NCAA Super Regional in seven of the last eight years.

South Carolina Heads To Chapel Hill To Face Tar Heels In NCAA Super Regional.Gamecocks Advance to Super Regionals With 11-6 Win Over Charlotte

June 5, 2007

Columbia, S.C. - For the seventh time in the last eight years, the South Carolina baseball team is headed to the NCAA Super Regional, one of only two teams in the country to achieve that feat since the 2000 season. The Gamecocks head up to Chapel Hill, N.C. to face North Carolina in a series that begins on Friday with times to be announced. South Carolina advanced to the Super Regional after defeating Charlotte 11-6 on Monday evening in the NCAA Columbia (S.C.) Regional. The Gamecocks now meet the Tar Heels for the fourth time in the last six years in the postseason. South Carolina and North Carolina met in Columbia in the 2002 NCAA Regional, 2003 NCAA Super Regional and 2004 NCAA Regional. South Carolina was victorious and advanced past the Tar Heels in all three of the previous three meetings.

Fans traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C. for this week's Super Regional baseball games may contact the Gamecock Athletics Ticket Office to place an order for tickets. Due to a limited number of tickets available, orders will be taken from Gamecock Club members only.

All fans who requested Super Regional tickets on their postseason order form will be refunded for the amount charged. PLEASE NOTE-Previously ordered Super Regional tickets were for games to be played at Sarge Frye Field ONLY. Gamecock Club members must contact the ticket office to place another order to receive Super Regional tickets in Chapel Hill. Gamecock Club members may order the number of tickets they are allocated based on their away football game priority. Should the number of tickets requested exceed the supply available, tickets will be allocated based on Gamecock Club point totals.

Chapel Hill Super Regional tickets are $35 for an all-session book.

The Gamecock Athletics Ticket Office will begin accepting orders at 9:00 am Tuesday, June 5, at the ticket office at the Colonial Center or by calling 800-4SC-FANS. Ticket office summer hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

Chicken-Kickin part 1. Part 2 comes October 13th! Go Heels! These games should have been in Omaha. South Carolina has a fine team, Heels are better, though! One of the best eight remaining will not be going to Rosenblat.

Only a Penguin can be this cool !
