remind me again how many wins does Clemson have in Omaha? How many times have they even played for the National Championship? Doesnt matter how many times you get there if you continue to lay eggs when its time to get it done.

Talent wise this SC team is a great team...but they continue to find ways not to get it done...the first thing that needs to be done in the off season is to get rid of Calvi and find a new pitching coach.

losing a game like that is completly unacceptable.

Pitching is and will continue to be the difference in this series. Imagine the team the Heels could put on the field if Daniel Bard and Andrew Miller hadn't left early. SC may have good starting pitching, for sure Honeycutt was terrific tonight, but the relief corps appears to be less than that of the Heels. Rob Wooten picked up both of the last two victories in the regional and he is only about the third or forth best relief man for the Heels. Fed-X and Carrignan are lights out at the end of games. Shame this series isn't in Omaha. SC has one of the best power hitting offeneses in the country. Experience in close games may also play a role in this series. Heels appear to be on a mission. Seem to find a way to win when all seems lost. Great stuff for this early in the tourney.
