I don't think so. I ran track and if you have to hold something, with the exception of the baton during relays which is small and can be held out in your hand, you won't run as fast.

Put a football and a uniform in his hand and let a defender run at him and he'll cut that time by half trying to get to the sideline.

That's funny, I seem to remember him running past chicken defenders in Death Valley like the were standing absolutely still.

That's right, and in 13 of them this year, he ran for 809 yards. Add them to the 950+ he ran for last year, and that's a pretty impressive two years for a guy splitting carries. Say what you will, but he gets the job done. There's a reason why he's run for 10 touchdowns of 60 yards or more in only two seasons.

Sure he did, I was just pointing out how he ran past your chickens in that game like they were standing still.

Well if they ever change football so that one man plays against other men but they can never hit eachother...your analysis will probably come in handy. Thanks! Until then, he'll probably just keep running out of bounds to avoid gettin' laid out.

I'm a Clemson fan through and through, but sometimes Spiller does run to side to side too much. When he makes 1 cut and goes, he gets a TD, but sometimes he just dances way to much.

Just pointing out what I saw with my own eyes when CJ got through the line and ran right past chicken defenders and was still pulling away from them when he crossed into the end zone.

Did Spiller and his east-west running style help the tiggers win in Dung Valley? Wink

Sometimes I think they should put Spiller at wide out or slot so he can be out in space and not have to tiptoe to the line so much. True, he can flat out run past anybody, but he has been unimpressive to me as a real running back.
