also, a sport may be a sport..but in the south, which sports are most heavily spoken about? Football, Bastketball, and Baseball. Don't mean to hurt your feelings lil hornet, but its the truth. I threw shot and disc in HS and never once saw 10,000 fans show up for a track meet. go ahead..say it..im sure you'll say you have just to go against what ive said.

bottom line for both you USC fans, you don't wanna admit that overall, Clemson dominates USC in the 3 major sports. it aint about being sexist or any of that either kid. you are both big dreamers when you try to say USC is better. but hey, if thinking that helps either of you sleep better at night, go for it! lol

You say Clemson dominates USC in the 3 major sports, well I'd have to disagree...Football...yes CU does and as of late they have in Basketball....but in Baseball, USC has been doing the dominating lately

yeah you are right, individually, baseball has gone to USC. i was speaking as over-all. my appologies for not making that clear. USC baseball is damn good, i won't challenge that one bit.

Just for the record, I was just messin' when I asked if you were sexist bulldog. I didn't actually think you were, I was just trying to point out that you can't count out women's sports either. When you look at schools you have to look at them as a whole, everything. I just don't believe Clemson is better overall, not saying we are better keep in mind, because to say better you have to look at every category. If you don't count everything, you are only saying that Clemson is partially better. You cannot say as a whole. Clemson is a great school, don't get me wrong. I pull for them so long as they don't play USC or GT. But you cannot call Clemson better if you do not look at all variables. And every sport is just as important as the next, just because there are fan favorites, doesn't make it anymore important or less important as a variable in the equation. I wouldn't care if people said Clemson is better at this or Clemson is better at that, I just don't like it when people say Clemson is better because they are not better in everything, only some things and we are actually better in others. Everyone should keep in mind that both are great schools, football wise Clemson has usually been better, but Carolina is on the up and up now since our recruiting is improving and it will be great to see how the future plays out. From here forth Clemson may remain the series holder, but one never knows because Carolina is getting better and none of us know what the future holds.

I pull for the state. i want SC to look good.

I think if more fans did that (pull for both teams unless playing each other) we'd keep a lot more recruits instate and not going elsewhere. Often I think the great ones leave to avoid the bickering among the fans yearround.
I had a freind in college that was from up north and his comment was that Ohio State and Michigan was aweful the week of the game and the week after but otherwise it was seldom discussed. Each hoped the other made the final game undefeated so the loss of their opponent would be that much sweeeter. It made sense to me. To bad we here in SC can't follow suit.

EXACTLY..id love for USC and Clemson to come into the last game undefeated. that would give each school and the state of SC sooooo much exposure. but the majority of the fans thinking that way is only wishful thinking. most are too ignorant and "proud" to think of the good that could come from both teams winning throughout the season leading up to the rivalry.

I agree completely. But as Bulldog said, thats just wishful thinking. Wouldn't it be great if one year Carolina won the SEC and Clemson the ACC. Talk about representing SC, that'd do it. I've even heard the guys on ESPN comment on how our rivalry is intense in the fact that we always want the other team to lose against other opponents. It is just sad.

Is Clemson looking for a basketball coach or the gamecocks?
