Aggie- Our starter tonight, Alex White, was probably the weakest link of the pitching staff in the last several weeks. Add together a few defensive position placements I would question (3rd baseman playing 10 feet from line against a right handed batter, RF playing in Right-center against a left handed batter), poor effort from the starter, and a very good team like Rice and it's a recipe for an ugly game. Add those things up and Rice has just capitalized.
You can't afford the mistakes we had tonight against a very good team. A very good team like Rice takes advantage of any mistake you make. And they're good enough that they don't need that help.
Tough night for the Heels for sure. What is up with the starting pitchers? After two CWS games, the Carolina starters have a combined ERA of 30!!!. Won't win many, if any with that kind of pitching. By the way, any chickens or hayseeds can pull against the Heels if they want, but losing the CWS is better than not being there! Go Heels!!

You are wrong Fly, I can handle losing just fine, but having to listen to chicken crap coming out of poor losers is just plain wrong! The fat lady has not sung at the CWS yet, and I remember that Oregon State won it all last year from the same position. You may be counting them chickens a little too early. Win, lose, or draw, Carolina knows what Omaha looks like in person, not on TV!

Look back at my posts during the Border War series. I did not talk trash! I could have, but I didn't because D**k is the only one worth that. S.C. will never be on par with U.N.C. as long as either one of us lives. It would take 30 plus years to catch up! No rivalry, just a mismatch!

Depends on who you ask chit for brains.......USC has been consistent in winning in baseball for several years now and their football program has seen success with Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier, while on the other hand UNC has just started to come of age in baseball the last two years and well football we wont talk about that...................LMAO
